I feel concerts are overhyped!!!

[ad_1]

So basically most of my friends from insta are putting this concert ticket queues and all for coldplay I mean just to go there and stand for couple of hours and listen to their Lip-sync is so average. See I admit it I haven’t been to a concert ever and actually someday I’ll give a try but still I am at this stage where spending money on concerts feel like wasting money

  1. I’ve been to coldplay, Bryan adams and Ed Sheeran in the past 12 months. None of them lip sync, the experience was amazing for each of them. As a coldplay & Bryan Adams fan growing up, it was a once in a lifetime experience and well worth the effort and costs. Ed Sheeran I didn’t expect much from but even that exceeded expectations, given that he’s a one man show.

If you genuinely like a band and they don’t rely on studio effects, I think a live concert is the best form of experiencing their music. There’s something beautiful about the whole thing that I can’t really put into words. Then again, to each their own but you’ve never been to one so maybe don’t judge just yet.

  2. concerts in india suck comparatively because most of the crowd doesnt know the songs they just come for the clout

  3. I don’t remember going to concert since past decade.

But full support to concerts because they are held at a standalone place.

Unlike others who put everything up on streets causing inconvenience to everyone.

  4. “haven’t been to concerts”

don’t give opinions about things you don’t know then bro

  5. You have to experience it. I was also on the fence when I went to one in 2016. It was unreal.

  6. It’s like saying ice cream sucks without ever eating one

  7. No they’re not overrated. I also used to think the same until I attended 2 concerts. Lip syncing doesn’t matter. Concerts are all about experience and having fun.

    Trust me.

  8. I go on concert with my friends with whom I can plan rarely anything due to different city.

  9. Since you haven’t been to a concert your opinion is kinda invalid bro, trust me it’s worth it.

  10. Nah i disagree with you. Coldplay concerts are a completely different experience man. The LED wristbands, confetti, fireworks and the chris’s energy makes it such an amazing and immersive experience

  11. Jis din kudh ka paisa kamuga usse din jauga concert mai.

  12. Mujhe bhi nahi mila ticket. I’m also salty my man

  13. Concerts are awesome. I’ve been to 5-10 concerts. And they were all great

  14. Lagta hai OP ko ticket nahi mila..

  15. Yes and most people buy tickets in black for 10x the original price.

  16. MVs are also LipSync, music videos are for visual context for that sound.
Concerts are about the experience the soul an artist puts in and you get to go with people with the same taste of music.
Have you ever thought that your friends would have the same taste as you?

  17. I don’t even have friends to attend those overhyped concerts you talkin about

  18. I was going to heartily agree with your post then came across the lip-sync bit. Coldplay does NOT lip sync in live concerts- in general hardly any bands do- it would destroy their credibility if discovered.

There have been cases of bands lip synching to pre recorded tracks at events like awards functions and TV shows, but no serious band would take a big risk like this.

  19. I was at the Global Citizen concert where Coldplay performed and it was magical. How I wish I could get the tickets 😔

  20. You are not paying for the amount of effort the singer is putting on the songs, and you would actually not enjoy it since lot of sound engineering goes into the recorded song vs the actual voice of singer.

You are paying for the experience and the vibe the concert generates, the same way you pay for watching sports matches in stadiums.

  21. Tereko bhi nahi mila na tickets.. us bro, us..

  22. You’ll definitely change your mind after attending one.

  23. I don’t know about the foreign ones but I attended Shankar Mahadevan’s live show on SP college ground and it was truly amazing experience. Have not been a big fan of western music but I do agree many are kind of showing off the tickets right now even on my social media timeline

  24. “I haven’t been to concerts” Yeah definitely you should be the one to tell wether it is enjoyable or not

  25. Coldplay concerts are not overrated at all.
But it still can’t be for you if you really don’t like crowds and a little bit of organized chaos.
This is okay. Be glad we live in the times where we have options to attend concerts or listen on your phone anywhere.
    Good luck

  26. Concert overhyped nhi hua hai .. bs cool lagna hai isliye sb stories and sb jagah ss dal rhe hai lol.. mere Clg ke dost on mein kisi ko cold play ke bare mein pta nhi tha lekin aaj achank sb ss dal ne lage

  27. Haven’t been to concert – Your opinion is like a broken calculator it does not count.

  28. I sold my tickets for 70k each, so no regrets lmao

  29. I am in Op ki side. And yes attended many in the past. The only way now I enjoy music is with earbuds plugged in or a nice speaker.
I just did not enjoy the process of travelling to another city … reaching couple of hours early… actual concert… then getting out of stadium is another pain in the ass… somehow reaching back to hotel exhausted then travel again back to city
All this while paying I exorbitantly high money for cold food and stupid drinks, hotels, travel, unclean toilets, sweaty people (Mumbai based concert)

Back then I feel I was also sold the idea of “once in a lifetime” yolo fomo.. experience what not ….i dont remember having a nice time …
    I don’t know how i managed it then…

  30. Your feelings are subjective. Not a lot of people think Your way. As you have written, you never went to any concert then how can you even comment on it lol. Such a worthless post. What are you seeking by posting Your feelings ?

  31. How can you have a strong opinion about something you never even experienced?? You have no clue what you’re saying rn

  32. Queen performing in Live Aid , 1985. Nothing even comes remotely close to that and nothing ever will. Peak of concert

  33. just because you never experienced it/had a bad experience doesn’t mean you’ll go around calling it overhyped💀

  34. Saying that artists are lip syncing is disrespectful. L post

  35. oh its fine, you should go for a concert before you judge. i’ve been of the same opinion but then i went for Divine’s concert a couple of years ago and it was indeed fun! i made friends too

  36. That’s what I thought until I attended one. Trust me OP, it’s one of the best experiences ever. Try going for one with your friends or even alone and then if you don’t enjoy it, you can say it’s overrated 😉

    >overhyped

not sure about overhyped but the lollapalooza definitely is overpriced. I was excited to hear green day was coming to India and then I saw the prices of lollapalooza and I was like nvm.

  37. Don’t go to concerts because of FOMO, go because you like the artist and their music. I’ll guarantee you will have a good time.

  38. I have been to free concerts only in my college (I don’t know if I should call it concert or not). It’s fun obviously.

But is it worth enough? I don’t think so.

  39. Yes concerts are overhyped. We don’t have setup, climate, arrangements to hold a concert properly. It is not like US Europe.

  40. Anybody willing to sell .. I’m here 😭🤧

  41. If it was LP then it would have been banger or back in time MJ .

  42. yo anyone got extra tickets? Im ready to buy em

  43. You haven’t been to a coldplay concert.
