While we were merging onto the Mumbai-Pune highway from the Kothrud side at Chandni Chowk, we were already in the left lane and continued on that path to join the highway. Suddenly, this guy (while we were joining the highway) behind us started honking, wanting to overtake from the left (even though we were already in the left lane). As he tried to pass, he had to slam on his brakes because the divider from the service road came up, blocking his way.
After that, he followed us onto the highway, continuously honking like a maniac. We had to eventually exit the highway at Bavdhan, and that’s when he pulled his car right in front of ours. He came out and started claiming that he “saved our lives” by braking suddenly (which didn’t make any sense since he was behind us—the only person he could have hit was himself). Then, he had the nerve to tell us to drive slower, even though we were already at a safe speed of 40-50 km/h while merging.
I didn’t manage to capture a picture of his license plate, but I wanted to share this experience to raise awareness. Stay safe out there, folks!
