Hi all,
I (26 M) am a native Punekar and simply love the Ganeshotsav. For quite a few years I have been hosting my non-Maharashtrian friends over Ganeshotsav so that they can be a part of the celebrations.
This year I am planning to do a Pandal Walk for the Ganeshotsav covering the following:
1. 5 Manache Ganpati (along with history)
2. Dagdushet Halwai
3. Some well know mandals having beautiful decorations (Mandai, Rajaram Mandal, Shanipar etc)
The main purpose of this walk would be to help everyone explore the beautiful festival and understand the history/culture and obviously meet and greet. 🙂
I’m planning to do this on the coming Saturday (14th September 2024) evening – timing would be decided mutually.
